How to Use Lineup Simulator

Overview

Lineup Simulator is an anlytics software that helps baseball and softball coaches optimize their lineups for maximum run production.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Enter your players' names and their statistics in the lineup card above.
  2. For each player, click "Edit Stats" to input their detailed statistics:
    • At Bats
    • Hits
    • Doubles
    • Triples
    • Home Runs
    • Walks
    • Speed (Fast/Slow - indicates ability to score from second on a single)
  3. Use the arrow buttons (▲▼) to manually adjust batting order positions.
  4. Set the number of innings (default is 9).
  5. Choose your action:
    • Simulate Current Lineup: Tests your current batting order through thousands of simulated games.
    • Optimize Lineup: Tests all 362,880 possible lineup combinations to find the optimal batting order.

How It Works

Tip: For best results, adjust statistics based on how you expect players to perform in the future, especially if the number of plate appearances is relatively small.
